Once
Upon a Playhouse raised over $30,000! Members of the Rochester Area
Builders created 6 amazing playhouses and donated them to Family Service
Rochester. The playhouses were on display during the Builders Home Show,
February 8-10, 2008; children and adults alike played in and explored the
playhouses. Five of the playhouses were auctioned and one was raffled.
The
playhouse builders by far surpassed everyone's expectations. Thank
you Aspen Enterprises, Babcock Builders, Cornerstone Builders and Rochester
Brick, Habitat Restore, the Rochester Area Builders Commercial Council and
the Rochester Area Builders Remodelers Council. Thank you for your overwhelming
support, creativity, time, energy and financial investment.
The playhouses
were moved by United Products. This huge undertaking was an absolutely
crucial piece of our success and the crew at United Products expertly cared
for and moved the playhouses. Thank you United Products! Some of the playhouses
are being stored at United Rentals, 37th St. NW and Broadway N., until early
spring when they will be delivered.
With the funds raised, Family Service
Rochester will be able to start two new programs addressing domestic
